Veteran Italian coach Claudio Ranieri has once again left the door open for a potential role with the Italian national team, after turning down the offer last year to remain as a senior advisor at Roma.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Ranieri explained his previous decision: “I refused at the time because I was committed to Roma and couldn’t handle two roles. Now I am free, so nothing can be ruled out.”
The experienced manager hinted at a return to the dugout as head coach of the Azzurri, adding: “Will I return as an executive or as a coach? I don’t know. But when you get a call from your national team, you just have to say yes.”
