The recent F1 Grand Prix in Miami demonstrated that the small adjustments introduced after the meeting of all stakeholders have yielded positive results. Following this initial step to adapt the new regulations that came into effect in 2026, the FIA is committed to further improvements.

The international body has confirmed that engine modifications will be introduced for 2027, following a new meeting with the teams and the five manufacturers currently competing in the championship. During the meeting, it was agreed to implement “additional evolutionary changes in the regulations of the FIA Formula One World Championship for 2026.”

As explained by the FIA in a statement, the aforementioned meeting began with a review of the changes implemented in Miami. It was “considered that these measures, designed to improve safety and reduce excessive points accumulation, had enhanced the competition and represent a positive step in the ongoing refinement
