After the final round, Saki Baba posed with the ball and club from her hole-in-one on the 7th hole at Mountain Ridge Country Club. Playing in the Mizuho Americas Open on the LPGA Tour, Baba started the day in 44th place and fired a 3-under-par 69, her first round in the 60s this week, to finish at even-par 288 and secure a tied 25th-place finish.
On the par-3 7th hole, she recorded her first professional ace. “It was a perfect shot, almost straight,” she said excitedly. “It’s not something you get to experience often.”
Reflecting on her performance, Baba added, “I played well on the final day and ended the tournament on a positive note heading into next week. I’m glad I could break 70.” After finishing tied for 27th at the Chevron Championship—her best major result—she improved to a season-best 25th this week, showing consistent upward momentum. In the latest season points rankings released earlier in the day, she climbed from 96th to 88th.
